Dumpling Pouches

I wanted to make a little handmade gift for each of my SNAP roommates, and the Michelle Patterns dumpling pouch tutorial fit the bill perfectly...

(By the way... did you know that Keyka Lou Patterns recently changed to Michelle Patterns? Just found that out while writing this post). This is a free tutorial that includes patterns for two different size pouches. I went with the easier (larger) pouch. It was pretty simple to put together, and by the third one I felt like I had gotten into a rhythm. I shouldn't have stopped at three because now I'd really like one for myself.

These go together fairly quickly and really make a great little gift for someone.

I highly recommend this tutorial. I've never tried one of Michelle's patterns, but if they are as well written as this tutorial, I'm sold. I'm eyeing her Ditty Bag pattern and her Padded Camera Pouch pattern.

You did a beautiful job Gwen.....I'm not surprised though......you are so talented. Your choice of fabric was perfect I also make small cosmetic cases.....but I loved what I saw on Michelle's site so I just registered to get her newletter. If you do end up buying one of her patterns.....could you let us know how it works out. Thanks.

New reader here, but just had to say that Michelle has the best patterns! I own at least 7 or 8 of them. They are all so easy to follow and the bags are all darling!

I have to agree with Maggie, her patterns are awesome! I had eyed the ditty bag pattern for a long time and after buying about half a dozen other patterns of hers, I finally got the ditty bag pattern too and I love it! So cute!

These are adorable and of course you need to make yourself one. And now I think I need to go make one for MYself too :-) I love Michelle's patterns, I have a ton of them and they're clear and well-written and always turn out looking cute. Had no idea she was changing her brand but it does seem more congruent, since she IS Michelle and all ;-) Have a great weekend!

PS - the binding on the ends ends up on the inside of the pouch when you turn in right-side out, yes? And where did you get your nice labels?
