Pin It Wednesday: Tooth Fairy Pillows

Another week, another Pin It Wednesday...

Today's theme is "tooth fairy pillows". When I was little, my mother made me a little pillow shaped like a tooth. It had a tiny pocket on the back and a piece of ric rac to hang it on my headboard. I don't have to worry about a tooth fairy pillow for my girls just yet, but I know it's coming within the next couple of years. Might as well be prepared and start looking for ideas now, right? Here are this week's pins...

Different idea and so adorable. Love the personalization.
You could really use any little doll pattern and add a tooth pocket.

2. Oversize Tooth Pillow from hop skip jump
I'm drawn to this idea. I'm not sure why... maybe it's the cheeks :) I love the simplicity
and the little bow. Too cute! A little pocket on the back holds the tooth.

3. Tooth Fairy Pillow from Martha Stewart
This is probably the quickest pillow to put together. It would be easy to add
some ribbon so that it can be hung from a doorknob or headboard.

I love this alternative to a tooth fairy pillow. These drawstring bags have a little tooth pocket
on the front for the actual baby tooth, and the tooth fairy leaves the loot in the bag.

5. Ballerina Tooth Pillow (photo by Larissa Holland) from mmmcrafts
This is probably the coolest pillow I've come across. Take the basic pattern and personalize it
for the recipient. Check out Larissa's Tooth Officer version for a boy.

I mentioned last week that I have a thing for matryoshka dolls.
I love this idea, and there is a printable pattern available for this pillow.

Lots of inspiration. I may be combining my favorite elements from each of these into the tooth fairy pillow that I actually end up creating. Lots to think about... at least I have a while to figure it out! Did you have a tooth fairy pillow as a child? Do you remember what it looked like?

This is a fab selection!

I was wondering, *goofy grin* if you'd have an invite left over *pleading eyes* whether you'd mind letting me possibly take advantage? I'm desperate to pintrest! xx

These are so cute. I wish I would have had one of these when my daughter was little; would have been a whole lot easier and cuter if course! :)

This is where I would get my little one to pick his favourite so I wouldn't have to choose. They're all so sweet! Great round-up!

We don't have a tooth fairy pillow yet, but we really need one! i hate having to search under the pillow while they're asleep to find the little baggie with the tooth. I LOVE the idea of hanging it on the door- makes it so much easier than trying to be quiet. ;)

These are so fun! I never had one as a kid... not even sure we had a tooth fairy at our house when I was a kid... but I want one for my kids. You know, in another 4 years when they maybe start losing teeth.

We never had a tooth fairy pillow..we had to put our tooth in a glass of water on the windowsill in the kitchen and in the morning there would be money in the water and no tooth! I kept some of my kids baby teeth but eventually they went a bit weird and yellow and I tossed them.

Larissa's fun tooth fairy pillow was one of the first things I found after I discovered craft blogging. I even downloaded the pattern, but have yet to make one. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
