Chili Mac Recipe

This is a recipe that is a favorite in my house. It's quick, simple, and only requires five ingredients... perfect when you are short on time. It originated from an old Weight Watchers recipe that has been changed up a little, and it is delicious!

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 14.5 oz can of Italian-style stewed tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 lb of rotini (spiral) pasta

Directions:
  1. Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Brown the ground turkey over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion to the turkey. Cook until the onions are soft (about 5 minutes).
  3. While the turkey and onion are cooking, start cooking the pasta.
  4. Add the tomatoes and the ground cumin to the turkey and onion. Break up the tomatoes a bit. Lower heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Drain your pasta, and add it to the turkey mixture. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes.

Now enjoy!

Hi Gwen - This looks and sounds really good! I love how there aren't many ingredients needed. Always nice for Winter when there aren't many fresh vegetables in season. Thanks so much for linking up!

LOVE! I'm such a sucker for pasta dishes, as well as one-bowl dinners, so this is a total win! Looks awesome. :-)
