Cutest Thing Ever: Sneaker Lacing Board

I saw the cutest thing last week, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I was thinking about it before I fell asleep that night, and I woke up thinking about it the next morning. I immediately asked KJ over at Let's Go Fly a Kite if I could share it with you. Look at this...

It's a sneaker lacing board! Her daughter just got her first pair of lace-up shoes, so KJ took a picture of one of her shoes and attached it to a piece of plywood and drilled holes at the shoe eyelets. Then she added a shoelace and some cute beads This will be great practice for her little one! My favorite part is that it actually looks just like her daughter's shoe. This is just too clever and adorable. Another super cute idea that KJ wanted me to mention is using alphabet beads to spell out your child's name. Love that idea, too!

Make sure you go over and check out some of the other great projects and ideas at KJ's blog. I love her Japanese Fabric Message Board and her Pom-Pom Acorns.

Thanks, KJ, for letting me share your super cute project! Want to see more "Cutest Thing Ever" posts? Click here.
P.S. KJ gets extra cuteness points because we share a love of Julie Andrews, the cutest woman ever!

This is a cute idea. The board would keep it nice and sturdy so little hands can tie those laces!

Thanks so much for the kind words Gwen!

PS I recently heard that Julie Andrews will be on Oprah on October 29th with the cast of Sound of Music.
